The Neon Developer Bootcamp is in full swing - the devs аре shipping, the leaderboard is giving, the vibes are vibing. Missed the deadline to join? You can still do it by signing up here.

Now let’s see what has been brewing this past month.

ERC20ForSPL token upgrade now live on mainnet

We’re happy to share that the ERC20forSPL upgrade we announced recently is now live on mainnet.

This upgrade enables seamless SPL asset transfers between Solana and Neon EVM by automatically connecting users’ ATA and PDA accounts—no manual bridging required. It’s part of our broader shift toward deeper Solana-native integration.

There is no action required for dApp that use tokens created via our official factory - these have been automatically migrated.

Solana Signer SDK improvements

We have updated the Neon Solana Signer SDK to make it even easier to use and deliver a developer experience that is as smooth as possible.

Community at Work

In May, we continued the momentum from the previous month and we saw our community blossom.

Neon Dev Bootcamp is in full swing

With more than 100 developers signed up for our bootcamp, the lines of code are just flying! If you have not entered the bootcamp yet, you can still do it by filling in this form. You can still catch up with the assignments from the first weeks as we’re moving on already to the week 5, or prepare a graduation project solo or in a team. Check the leaderboard on our Bootcamp website and see how our bootcampers are doing.

Events

ETHPrague

Last week, the crypto community gathered in Prague for a few days of learning, networking and building. We hosted an interoperability meetup with fantastic speakers, and met with many developers who are interested in building the multichain future.
Check it here.

Solana Crossroads

In April, our Lead Technical Business Analyst Greg Gancarczyk spoke at Solana Crossroads in Istanbul and shared how we’re enabling EVM dApps on Solana. The recording of his talk is now live and you can watch it here.

ETHBelgrade

Neon EVM is making waves at ETH Belgrade 2025 as a Community Builder sponsor, showing how developers can run EVM dApps on Solana with full composability. The team is hosting a workshop, a talk by our DevRel Julia Galen, and a Rust Summit session with Engineer Dzmitry Zdanovich. A $5,000 hackathon bounty is also up for grabs for standout DeFi projects built with Neon. Check all the details here.

Interviews & AMAs

Our CCO Davide Menegaldo was a guest on the Blockcast podcast where him and the host Takatoshi Shibayama talked porting EVM dApps to Solana, the fragmentation of Ethereum Layer 2s, the future of DeFi, and much more. Tune in.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Solana community Kumeka team hosted our DevRel Julia Gallen for an insightful discussion on bringing more EVM developers to Solana. You can watch a recording of the conversation on X.

And that was May for us. What’s in the books for June? Stay tuned!
