- deBridge Live on Mainnet: Enhancing Cross-chain Interoperability
In November 2023, we announced our partnership with deBridge. As of February 07, 2024, deBridge is officially live on Neon EVM Mainnet. With this partnership, we opened a direct gateway with other EVM chains, allowing users to make fast and easy swaps with native assets. This interoperability will revolutionize how dApps interact with assets allowing Neon EVM projects access to Ethereum, BNB, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Linea, Base, and Avalanche, further expanding our high-performing cross-chain EVM ecosystem. The growth of this cross-chain ecosystem broadens the interoperability scope for dApps building and deploying here.

- Neon EVM Ecosystem: Projects and Deployments Surge
February was busy for our BD team as deployments steadily rose on our devnet and mainnet. The launch of Liteflow, an NFT infrastructure platform, offers a suite of NFT APIs and tools to meet the diverse needs of companies wanting to launch their NFT projects on Neon EVM. Vibrant Finance, powered by iZumi, launched their latest user-friendly Discretized-Liquidity Automated Market Maker (DL-AMM) modeled DEX on Neon EVM chain. dRPC is also added to Neon EVM mainnet giving access to an auto-scalable network of RPC nodes. JokeRace is live on devnet and offers a platform to run contests - hackathons, grants, gameshow, governance - on Solana using an ETH wallet. The ecosystem is growing with value creation and development opportunities rising.

- Enhancing EVM capabilities: Resolutions and Ongoing Focus
Our developers have been working hard to improve Neon EVM performance, resolving the intermittent transaction slowdown (reported in last month’s newsletter) within the EVM component. This is currently undergoing an audit. In parallel, we are focusing on improving txn execution in two other key parts: in the Proxy and the Emulator. These enhancements will make it easier and seamless to fully leverage these functionalities. Additionally, our tech team is making significant strides in optimizing memory usage within the EVM. By experimenting with innovative methods, such as expanding memory via account utilization, we aim to achieve substantial technical optimizations that improve memory efficiency. This effort is particularly important for supporting large concurrent contracts, carving new strategies for memory enlargement through account reuse, and for initial experiments with virtual machine memory replacement.

- Technical Research Efforts: Composability to Solana History Restoration
In our quest to enhance interoperability, we have conducted extensive research and developed an initial version of a core interoperability feature. This advancement will enable interactions between Solana programs and Solidity contracts. The next phase involves an audit and the integration of specific libraries and Solidity code to simplify and enhance functionality. This progress opens new possibilities for other developers by facilitating specialized solutions for dApps. Alongside this, we are researching ways to restore Solana’s history from snapshots in the event of data loss or similar challenges. This is aimed at ensuring the integrity and continuity of Solana’s historical data, which is vital for the ecosystem’s resilience and reliability.

- ETH Denver and NFT Paris: A Month of Technology, Art, and Collaboration
ETH Denver was fantastic! We love a hearty meet and greet when the devs worldover congregate together! We actively participated in ETHDenver's 2024 #BUIDLWeek and delivered a keynote speech at Encode Club showcasing the unique capabilities and advancements within our parallel processing ecosystem. Sukanya Parashar, Senior Integration Engineer, was a part of the panel on the “Best of All Worlds? The Projects Merging Solana and Ethereum” and engaged in insightful discussions alongside Eclipse, SEI, and Monad. Together, they delved into the strategies, challenges, and future outlook for dApps to leverage the two prominent L1 ecosystems. Neon EVM community head, Ivan Ponyuk, was at the NFT Paris event on February 23-24, 2024, supporting and engaging with the NFT, gaming, and art communities while sharing insights into the unique capabilities of Neon EVM.

We are truly overwhelmed by the love and engagement of our incredible community every growing month. While our Discord, Telegram, and X are always abuzz with community memes, questions, the latest ongoings, builder talk, and so much more; we are happy to announce that we are also live on Farcaster and Lens!! For the benefit of our ardent supporters, we are formulating Community FAQs on some core technical topics and will soon be sharing them. Neon Points is seeing massive engagement on X with the creators and followers. This is just the beginning since we are in the awareness stage of our Points Program; further on-chain activities coming later this year!
